Vanessa Lachey has defended her awkward response from the Today show about not ever sending Jessica Simpson a baby gift as she had claimed.

In lieu of her new book, Jessica Simpson made sure to thank her ex-husband Nick Lachey and Vanessa for a gift, they deny ever sending one.
