Most movie theaters play a lot of trailers before the feature presentation, but is it too many?
The trailer for Waves features voiceover from early on in the film when a pastor incorporates 1 Corinthians 13 in his sermon; “Love is patient. Love is kind. Love is not rude. It doesn’t boast. Love also forgets wrong.” It can be very difficult to forgive but when all we have is now, why close the door to the freedom and growth that forgiveness can unlock? The depths writer-director Trey Edward Shults achieves while exploring that concept in two hours and 15 minutes is eye-opening and downright astounding. The movie begins by putting the spotlight on Kelvin …
While the Collider screening series tends to focus on newer movies that haven’t yet been released in theaters, I’m constantly trying to find ways to show movies everyone has seen one more time on the big screen. The advantage of showing a movie that’s been out for a while is that you can really get into the making of the film because no one is nervous about revealing a closely guarded spoiler. Which brings me to the next Collider screening, which is happening next week. I’ve got a few questions for you... [caption id="attachment_646064" align="…

DC's Birds of Prey movie has a new poster, and it all but confirms that Margot Robbie's Harley Quinn still has a few screws loose.
Birds of a feather flock together in Warner Bros. first poster for Birds of Prey (And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn). Birds of Prey marks Margot Robbie's second outing as popular DC Comics antihero Harley Quinn following her performance in 2016's Suicide Squad. The poster for Birds of Prey is maybe one of the best we've seen all year. Putting an emphasis on being as colorful as it …
