Sancaka is an astraphobic son of an Indonesian factory worker. One day, the workers protest on income inequality; it resulted in Sancaka's father's fellow workers consensually sent to the factory's boss to talk about the situation. For days they haven't been seen returning; it is revealed that they are being kidnapped. As the workers riot with security guards on the mysterious disappearance, Sancaka's father is stabbed by an unknown man. Sancaka's anger releases lightning blasts from his body, and then faints. A year passes, Sancaka's mother leaves to another city to find a job, never returning. Thus, he becomes homeless in Jakarta, and meets fellow homeless Awang, who teaches him self-defense. They plan to freighthop, but only Awang is able to hop in the train. Sancaka then grows as an adult, working as a guard and mechanic in a newspaper printing factory.
