Sonic the Hedgehog 3
In 1974, a meteorite containing a powerful hedgehog named Shadow lands in Oklahoma and is seized by the Guardian Units of Nations (G.U.N.). Shadow's power is used for various experiments headed by Gerald Robotnik at a G.U.N. facility. Shadow develops a close friendship with Maria, Gerald's granddaughter. One night, as Gerald, Maria, and Shadow try to escape the facility to prevent Shadow from being taken away, a G.U.N. agent accidentally kills Maria with an explosion. Gerald is imprisoned and Shadow is placed in suspended animation.
