Rebel Moon – Part One: A Child of Fire

On the backwater moon of Veldt, the sadistic Atticus Noble, admiral of the militaristic Imperium, arrives on behalf of the Motherworld, an interstellar empire fueled by centuries of conquest and war. He explains that he and his troops are hunting for a band of rebels led by siblings Devra and Darrian Bloodaxe and will need the village to supply his troops with enough grain — which will not leave the village with enough to survive — before he returns in ten weeks. The village's leader, Sindri, refuses and lies. One villager, Gunnar — who, unbeknownst to Noble, had previously sold grain to the Bloodaxes — contradicts Sundri and indicates that the village might have some surplus. Noble kills Sundri, leaves Gunnar in charge of farming the grain and departs, with a handful of soldiers remaining in the village. Another villager, Kora, finds the soldiers preparing to gang-rape another villager and confronts and kills them. She then warns the villagers that Noble will massacre the village once he returns and gets what he wants unless they mount a defense.
