The Body Remembers When the World Broke Open is a 2019 Canadian drama film, directed by Elle-Máijá Tailfeathers and Kathleen Hepburn. The film centres on the interaction between Áila (Tailfeathers), a First Nations woman with a stable and happy domestic life, and Rosie (Violet Nelson), a more impoverished First Nations woman who has just been a victim of domestic abuse, after they meet in the street.
