The Day Shall Come

Moses Al Shabazz is the impoverished leader of a small religious commune in Miami with three other members, including his wife Venus and followers X and Afrika. The commune, the Star of Six, is a combination of several religious deities, including Allah, "Black Santa", and General Toussaint L'Ouverture. Moses, who - among several other strange beliefs - believes animals can speak to him, preaches of a black uprising to take back the world from their white oppressors, but opposes the use of firearms. He has been prescribed anti-psychotic medication, but does not take it, as it "makes him drowsy".
