When Disney bought Lucasfilm and acquired the rights to make their own Star Wars movies, they also acquired the rights to make their own Indiana Jones films. While a fifth Indy movie is in development with Steven Spielberg directing and Harrison Ford in the role, there isn’t much longevity in that. Ford is 76 years old, so we can’t expect many more Indy movies from him.
