I’m not sure how many of you were reading Collider seven years ago, but if you were, you might remember I attended a special Star Wars prequel screening hosted by Topher Grace. Unbeknownst to everyone, he had gotten into experimental editing and decided to edit the three prequels into one 85-minute movie that omitted huge chucks of story in favor of action and streamlined the narrative events. Gone were the politics, General Grievous, Jar Jar Binks (except for one shot), the clone army, and about 99% of the first movie. The shocking part was how well it worked. …
