In fact, it was released so long ago that it’s kind of bizarre to think about how much the gaming industry has changed in the nearly twenty years since it first hit the scene. Before the PS2, games were largely offline single-player experiences, 3D graphics were still in their infancy, and games boasting mature or provocative themes were still few and far between due to the fact that most consumers still believed gaming to be a pastime mainly intended for children.
